ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Vintage does not mean dull, especially with this piece. The painting is created in two layers. The first is the acrylic painting, and the second is a layer of carefully mixed, fine grain glitter. Don't worry, the glitter is applied securely and finished with a fixative for minimal shedding. My family lives and breathes vintage cars, so naturally I use them in my art. This image is a beautiful contrast between masculine and feminine in the bulky car and the delicate sunglasses, the sunlight and shadows, and even the idea of a big manly car covered in shimmering sparkle.
