An intuitive oil painting inspired by my walks along the River Ribble, Lancashire. Near a beautiful nature reserve, Brockholes, you can access the waterside and wander freely for hours along the impressive River Ribble. Wild and rugged in Winter and immensely impressive. A wonderful source of inspiration The mighty river is surrounded by beautiful open landscape, wild flora and wildlife. Painted using top quality oils and painted onto board. Sealed with varnish to seal and protect the surface. This painting will require framing.

I studied Textile Design at college and after graduating spent 16 years designing surface pattern for the home furnishings industry. After the Millennium it became increasingly necessary to complete work in a digital format. Although I could work in this way for me personally the passion, reward and creativity were compromised. I then went into teaching for a number of years but never stopped painting. For me painting allows the freedom to create, invent and explore without restriction, it is the perfect way forward for me and I love it.
