The Davis Lisboa Mini-Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona was established by Davis Lisboa as a response to the narrative surrounding the artists who established their own museums, including Marcel Duchamp, Robert Filliou, and Marcel Broodthaers. The museum is a ready-made sculpture, a non-profit collaborative art project, and a recognized cultural institution in Spain. "The Paintings Section" is divided into two sections: still lifes, which depict the Boîte-en-valise, La galerie légitime, and the Musée d'Art Moderne, Département des Aigles; and portraits of Marcel Duchamp, Robert Filliou, and Marcel Broodthaers. The museum's paintings can be found in several private and public collections around the world, including in Spain, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Belgium, the UK, Cyprus, and USA.For this artwork Lisboa was inspired by Robert Filliou's video "Teaching and Learning as Performing Arts, Part 2" and the paintings of Henri Matisse and Edward Hopper. The Paintings section from the Davis Museum in Public and Private Collections includes: The Alejandro Vásquez Herrero Collection in Viladecans, Spain. The Ashish Mistry Collection in Atlanta, USA.
