About The Artwork

This painting explores the intersection of cultural identity, migration, and artistic expression. Conceptually, I have drawn inspiration from the portraits of Robert Filliou and Lampião, two iconic figures known for their distinctive hats. The artwork adopts Giorgio De Chirico's metaphysical color palette. With this artwork I address the cultural clash and duality of having lived in both South America and Europe through the juxtaposition of Filliou and Lampião. The hats become symbols of this cultural fusion in our globalized world. Within the history of art, there is a narrative about artists who created their own museums: Marcel Duchamp (Boite-en-valise, 1936-1941), Robert Filliou (La Galerie légitime, from 1962-1963), and Marcel Broodthaers (Musée of Art Moderne, Département des Aigles, 1968-1972). Following this line, I have created the "Davis Museum Barcelona," a museum linked to social networks. My museum has several sections, including "The Paintings Section From Davis Museum," where the paintings are for sale and which is divided between portraits of Marcel Duchamp, Robert Filliou, and Marcel Broodthaers, as well as still lifes from "La Boite-en-valise," "La galerie Légitime," and the "Musée d'Art Moderne, Département des Aigles."
