Rolling Water Painting

Nicholas Brown, Studied art at Arlington Heights High School, Harper College, Northern Illinois University and Eastern Illinois University. His paintings evolved from a combined of the theories pioneered by Marc Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Franz Klein and Joseph Albers. Combining techniques he learned in fine art print making and painting with self discovered masking and paint spaying techniques, an allusion of depth with a transparent interweaving of layers emerges. Contrasting colors snap to life because they often reside not on top or behind but next to each other. They might appear to be overlapping but this is an allusion.
