Roma#5 Painting

My work explores the relationship between dream and reality. The fact that the picture is hanging suggests that the ordinary people don’t really know when or how they are going to achieve their dream which suggests the impossible dream. Furthermore, there isn’t anywhere in the world like the painting it’s all fake as everywhere in the world, there is struggle and in some way we are going to have to deal with it, which shows the irony and contrast between the concrete wall and the artwork. That also suggests that the dream will never come true and it’s just something to admire not something to look up to as a goal of life. The contrast between the exotic and the everyday life, shows the demented sense of humor that is present in all my artwork. Finally I believe that effort of portraying a clean smooth image without forgetting the meaning helps to develop a surrealist image which can easily portray message.
