Babra Allen is a contemporary artist living in Cape Town. She has developed her own techniques and unique style. Continually innovating and creating artworks with an emphasis on texture, bold colour combinations, blending style... Babra creates each artwork... Her techniques guide her in creating complex, unusual artworks. Working primarily with acrylics along with other mediums, she creates intricate paintings that draw the viewer in with the complexities of line, shape, colour combinations, design and movement. Babra's abstract style allows the viewer to explore and experience the artwork through the use of colour, brushstrokes, textures and techniques. Babra's artwork is intended to be a visual concept designed to evoke feelings of being transported, guided and uplifted. Babra draws inspiration from nature as well as the boundless beauty and light of the glorious Cape.
