Roof Top series 4 Painting

SANUSI AKEEM hails from Ibadan in Oyo state. He was born in the early 80's. He had his primary, secondary and tertiary education in Ibadan. He is a graduate of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. His attention was drawn to art at his early age where he had the opportunity of seeing varieties of arts from different artists through a framer who has his workshop directly opposite his home. He is a mixed media artist who has over the years put into use different materials like jute, periwinkles, seashells, twine, cow horns, fibre glass, seeds from trees and some other found materials in portraying his arts. He uses acrylic and oil majorly in painting and his works are inspired by his environment, colours and nature. He gained his wealth of experience under the tutelage of a well known prolific and versatile artist, BOLA OPADIRAN who is well known for his unique style of painting called 'opaism'.
