ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"Roommates v" is the fifth and last painting from my series "Roommates", created for the collective vernissage "Bedroom" (Montreal, 2017). Reflecting the complex and ever changing dynamics of cohabitation, the series is inspired by my current living situation. I used finest quality Tri Art acrylic paint on an Apollon 100% cotton canvas. On "Roommates v", the thickness of the paint creates interesting textures and illusions of movement. I strive to create balance and depth through shapes and colours with emotional directness. This painting is ready to hang, no framing necessary.
