Rostro Raramuri Painting

César Cabrales is a painter who inserts his line into the gap between the indefinable and the rival: by means of subtle tones and intrepid synthesis, he abstracts form and forms abstraction. Its characters speak in silence a language of signs as novel as they are primitive, but the significant opponents of this dialogue are not only the image and its negative, but the narratives of the contrast themselves; in his pictorial proposal, the perpetual becomes transitory and vice versa, in a constant play of shadows, distant new moons, and landscapes with deeply close horizons. The only definitive thing in Cabrales's painting is the nostalgia for the land: cold at night, boiling by day, like the colors that he proudly alternates in his series of miners, women embedded in a poetic tradition, or cactus plants bathed in desert folklore.
