ABOUT THE ARTWORK
During an artist residency in New Orleans 2023 I was living right next to the French Quater, where I passed every day once at least. One of my favorite street was the Royal street, because of the beautiful architecture, typically French and Spanish, with the flowerin verandas, the music happenings in the street and always very alive.This was one of the head impressions of New Orleans, became my city of heart. On the canvas I mixed a bit fine sand into the colors, so you can find in certain places some reliefs, it gives the life from Nola to the canvas.
