Russian Carpet Painting

Some time ago it dawned on me. Remember the carpets our grandmothers had? I don’t know how in your country, we definitely had them in the USSR. So I remember how you lie with your face against the wall and fall asleep looking at this carpet. And I also decided to create such a series of carpets. Of course, this is little like a joke. But it doesn't seem to be witty enough, considering that in the modern world, paintings are carpets on the walls, only without fringes. I added a bit of vintage and still left a very cute fringe. I can look at this work for hours, looking at all the interactions of lines and textures. The motive for it was the Russian traditional pattern - Khokhloma . This work has an extraordinary combination of rustic, graphic, vintage and modern. As if it was once not just a carpet on the wall - but a real piece of wall that keeps its history. This work is complemented by a very delicate fringe of a rich dark green hue. A real carpet that you want to look at before bed. This painting can be shipped in tube.
