I carried this painting in my imagination for a while. Somehow invisioned the russian samovar in the snow and then little by little it came out. I used bold palette knife strokes to create movement and movement. The painting will be ready to ship in February. It is still wet.

I was raised in the cold climate of Leningrad, in the former Soviet Union, and still enjoy the cold climate and lots of snow... I have been painting since I was a child thanks to my dear childhood friend who started teaching me about painting and drawing while going to an art college himself. These days I am inspired by cities, rain, cobblestones, and snow... I am university professor teaching different art classes as well as teach pre-college portfolio to high school students. My art evolves as I grow, discover new color combinations and techniques but my main goal is to create an emotional connection with my collectors, to give them a piece of memory or association from their past. I also primarily paint with a palette knife. I can do commissions and happy to answer any questions you might have.
