I came to painting as an adult, led by a quiet yet powerful calling. From the start, I was drawn to oil paint — the richness, depth, and timeless quality of the medium felt like a natural fit. It remains my preferred language for expressing the beauty I see and feel. My artistic journey has been shaped by years of study: classes with many teachers, mentorships with accomplished artists, visits to world-renowned European museums, and a steady diet of art books that fuel my curiosity and technical growth. I continue to learn and evolve, with every painting teaching me something new. My work explores two central themes: the beauty of nature, and the richness of Jewish and biblical tradition. Whether I’m capturing a quiet landscape, a burst of sunlight through trees, or a scene rooted in sacred text and ancient symbolism, I approach each painting with deep reverence and intention. When I begin a piece, the blank canvas can feel daunting. But soon, the process takes over. I paint, pause, reflect, adjust — always stepping back to ask what the painting needs. It’s not about perfection, but about honesty. I often spend hours going back and forth, letting the painting evolve, until I reach a moment where I say: this is it. Even then, it never feels truly finished — just ready to be released. To collect one of my paintings is to take home not just an image, but a piece of a deeply personal journey.
