S/T de la serie Textiles Painting

Me inspire en los textiles andinos de la cultura aymara y en la idea de belleza en grado sumo, expresados en ellos, a partir de la lectura de un texto de la antropóloga chilena Verónica Cereceda. Espero que los espectadores puedan percibir esa belleza y el colorido inunde sus hogares de alegría de vivir. Elegí el acrílico y el gesso por la capacidad para producir una textura que simule los textiles. Realice esta pintura pensando en las tejedoras hilando sus fibras y componiendo el arco iris con cada trazo en gradaciones de color que se van integrando y contrastando unas a otras. I was inspired by the Andean textiles of the Aymara culture and the idea of beauty in the highest degree expressed in them, from the reading of a text of the Chilean anthropologist Veronica Cereceda. I hope the viewers can perceive that beauty and the color fills their homes with the joy of living.I choose acrylic and gesso for the ability to produce a texture that simulates textiles. I made this painting thinking of the weavers spinning their fibers and composing the rainbow with each stroke in gradations of color that integrate and contrast with each other.
