ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The painting was inspired by beadwork created by the Seminole Indians. I hope the viewer will get a sense of both the beauty of their works and also get an idea of the feel of the beads. I selected acrylic paint as the medium for this painting for it's fast drying nature, but primarily for the wide range of beautiful c0olors available, The design extends around the edges of the painting. I did this so that the painting would exhibit both the beauty and the freedom of the work.

I was born in Greensboro, NC. Shortly afterwards, my family returned to Savannah GA where I grew up. I spent most of my career in advertising at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. I enjoy experimenting with different methods of creating fine art paintings and portraits. Hopefully, each painting will include a new or different feature and it is very exciting to see it evolve. I find inspiration in nature as well as in the study of works by famous painters of modern art.
