SKY SCRAPERS I am from a beautiful natural hill station with water falls and green forests from India, as a beauty seeker ... traveling a lot outside India in recent times and I find inspiration in the beauty of the places I am blessed to see. My style is best expressed in my series of Abstract Cityscapes. I motivated to paint this series of abstracts cities after my frequent visits to the urban developed busy cities in USA, and it is a recurrent theme for me. Everywhere I traveled, and inspired by street scenes rainy days holding umbrellas in New York, I deeply moved and inspired with people rushed with their daily busy life’s in the traffic, glittering lights, colorful advertising sign boards, tall buildings touching sky, wonderful reflections in the water views of the cities in which I am able to observe what I call the Abstract City Patterns. The architectural beauty rhythm seen from the distance fascinates me. In my personal artistic vision the architectonic details create practically an aesthetic abstract pattern that urges to be translated in differently morphed palette knife strokes and marks interacting with each other in various ways and generating the painterly quality of the impasto textures that I love so much. At the beginning of the 20th century, New York City was a center for the Beaux-Arts architectural movement, attracting the talents of such great architects as Stanford White and Carrere and Hastings. As better construction and engineering technology became available as the century progressed, New York City and Chicagobecame the focal point of the competition for the tallest building in the world. Short Bio I was born at ELURU, A.P. in INDIA (SOUTH). Since the age of five I am closely integrated with the art. Being born to a renowned artist right from my childhood, I had an urge towards art and photography. I used to observe my father while he was painting and when he finished his work, I used to clean his brushes. Often I used to paint with the same brushes. I followed my passion for art and studied photography in the school. Subsequently, I was employed in IDPL Rishikesh, Uttaranchal as an Artist & Photographer. To fulfill my creative urge, I did several experiments for more than a decade on photo chemicals on bromide, and painting on used X ray film after treating them with photo chemicals. Living close to Himalaya Mountains, I was inspired by the splendors of nature and did several paintings on canvas. Positions held: President, Andhra academy of Arts, Vijayawada 1999 – Present Heading the art academy (recognized by L.K.A.
