ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The artist is inspired by nature, the seasons and the changes of colors in the leaves of trees in the Fall. On her visit to Utah, she was fascinated by the colors of these Aspen trees and decided to portray them in a painting. She chose to paint them with acrylics because of the vibrancy of the scene. She painted them on an 8 x 10 wraparound canvas and chose to frame them in a black floater frame to enhance the appearance of the painting. The frame is included and it is wired and ready for hanging. The canvas is 8 x 10 and with the frame it measures 9 1/4" by 11 1/4 ". I hope this painting portrays the beauty of the scene and the pleasure the artist had in painting this landscape.

My true art education began in my thirties when I began taking drawing, pastel and oil painting lessons. I took many lessons and tried many different mediums focusing on watercolors and oils. No my husband and I live in Bryn Mawr. I taught English and Reading for many years and always had students incorporate art into their projects. I have four sons, 5 grandsons and 2 granddaughters and another due soon. My life revolves around my family, my art painting and my music-- and I enjoy cooking too.
