Inspired by an ayahuasca vision, this painting depicts the Amazonian Forest Mother, Sachamama, holding two infants, symbolic of her fecundity. She has roots reaching into the ground, while she is surrounded by a variety of rainforest birds. Behind her are three types of ayahuasca vines. The Shipibo woman on the left side of her is picking chacruna leaves, while the woman on the right prepares to serve the entheogenic tonic.
