ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Sunset over Venice was inspired by a summer I lived in Venice and studied painting. The exquisite early morning sunlight and the mid afternoon sunset light captured my soul causing many moments of pause as I saw the light change into mysterious colors.The colors of Venice are embedded in my soul for this is where I was inspired to use the power of color to capture the forms, moods and figures in my art. May the viewer feel the mystery of color in my paintings that cause one to stop and see the ever changing light where they live and may it cause a moment of reflecting. I paint with the finest oil paints on canvas. I am an abstract expressionist. Suzan Cook
