ABOUT THE ARTWORK

When my husband first saw this painting, he called it a sacrifice of creativity. I found this contradictory as sacrifice usually comes with some kind of loss, yet this is where I see the fullness. Maybe when we make sacrifices, we have fullness ourselves afterwards, because every time we give, we get something back, like in an energy cycle. ⠀ In psychology, the combination of red and blue colors means the abundance of emotional needs. And the plot, despite the fact that it can evoke conflicting feelings, is emotionally complete. There is no hostility in faces and shapes, but idyll and relaxation. A naked body is about openness and trust, a raised, opening hand is about creating peace. An eye can be seen on the middle palm. In iconography, the eye on the palm is a symbol of clairvoyance or, in Buddhism, compassionate wisdom. It is associated with the Goddess of Compassion Tara, with her observation and calm dispelling fears and gloomy thoughts. ⠀ A mythical someone who looks more like a dog in a collar because of their color can also talk about the peace that is being established, but still the color is quite intense, bubbly, exciting. This dog, most likely, embodies gloomy thoughts and fears, and the essence of the artwork is that you can find self-acceptance in yourself and be okay with life, with your fears and sad thoughts, because this is just one of the manifestations of our life. ⠀ By the way, in many mythologies the dog guards the borders between the worlds, is the guardian and lord of the underworld. This is the world of dreams, the realm of darkness, the other side, where the point of life is, where death becomes an objection. This is about a rebirth to the origins; this is an energy center where the power of restoration is held. The dark, long hair framing the painting draws attention to the plots within the painting, and pounding piano music completes this composition, which speaks of relaxation and trust in the flow of life.

uliana.fandera.art Hello, I was born in Russia, but have been living on the island of Bali for many years. I explore the unconscious through surrealistic drawings and abstract expressionist painting. The ideas for my art work come to me from the unconscious. The moment I start drawing the first line on the canvas, I never know where it will take me. In my art works I use irony, bold, positive colors, shapes and images. There is enough pain, sadness and evil in our world and I don't want to magnify it by reflecting it in my work. I want my art work to bring joy, make you smile and move you to see the world through different eyes. The main themes of my art are: psychology, mythology, religion, mysticism, culture. I draw in the style of surrealism and abstraction because I feel maximum freedom in this style. Here I can say anything, even if it's impossible to say it. Here everyone can see their meaning, which is close to their soul and heart. This is the true intellectual art, art puzzle. Offline exhibition: Indonesia, Bali, Karangasem, Candidasa JL. Pantai Indah
