About The Artwork
This is an original watercolor, painted from the sketch made during my plain air painting session in Salzburg. The painting shows the first view of the Salzburg Fortress (Festung Hohensalzburg) on top of the Monchsberg hill. Painted in an abstract manner, on high quality Arches 300 gsm. It is supplied in a white mat, attached using acid-free mounting tape by ProArt. The dimensions of the mounted painting are 40 x 50 cm.

Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt studied art at the private fine arts school in Belgrade, Serbia. During the period 1998-2005, she painted Byzantine Icons and had her work exhibited in Belgrade, Manhattan, (NYC, USA), Richmond (VA, USA), Salzburg (Austria). Since 2012, she has been passionate about watercolour painting technique that she's continuously exploring through seminars, literature and her own experimentation.
