This painting shows a frozen moment of a bull run in San Fermin, where you can see the different behaviors and attitudes of the people in the presence of the brave bull. I have not painted this picture because I consider the San Fermin running of the bulls to be a beautiful festival, no, I consider it absurd, because it seems that the people who throw themselves into the street when the brave bulls pass by want to prove something to themselves or to others. . The absurd courage is not demonstrated by getting as close to the bull as possible, because in the painting you can see that rather what is reflected on the faces of the protagonists is fear.

I have always had the ability to develop any artistic activity, in my case I think that the artist is born although I consider that it is better to receive training to improve the technique. At the age of 15, while working in a ceramics workshop, I studied sculpture at a Fine Arts school in my hometown (Valencia, Spain), but I was too young and my youthful concerns were stronger and I abandoned my studies in pursuit of adventure and the fun. Fatally (by the way) I fell into chaos and barbarism, losing all discipline and values as a person. Becoming almost like an animal, I immersed myself in the worst environments until I hit rock bottom (although you could always go lower). I decided to get out of that kind of life and little by little and with great efforts I began to distance myself from everything related to those environments. . Maybe the strength I needed to be able to get out of that voltex was given to me by my Azkenazi Jewish ancestors. As I have already explained, I was totally away from any artistic manifestation for a long time, but I never stopped appreciating a good work of art. Over time the possibility of creating came and I started from scratch to paint without much rigor, guided by what people painted then, but I realized that I did not identify with that style, I did not understand what Modern Art is (nor I still understand it) and I began to try other things, Pyrography, Mosaic, Sculpture in wood and iron, some bronze and finally I returned to painting, without fashions, as you can see, the same painting that fills most museums of the world. Although I never completely detached myself from art, I have had periods in which due to circumstances I have not been able to develop it, but fortunately today I enjoy painting and every day I feel happier to be able to create and communicate to others through forms and colors that I capture on my canvases I am not a person who believes in exhibitions or competitions, I believe that art today is pure commercialism, although it may have always been that way and I do not want to recognize it, thinking romantically that it is a divine creation to be seen with the soul and felt with the soul. the heart.
