About The Artwork
The beauty of the world’s beaches are imbedded in the artist and she shares her interpretation of this beauty. Mixing sand from the beach and oils, the artist’s energy is transferred into the mixture. Using a palette knife, Barb texturally spreads the sand/oil mixture onto the canvas. A shark’s tooth has then been imbedded in the mixture. Because of the rich texture, the artwork takes several months to dry. The piece is unframed. The artist hopes that through this work, the viewer can experience the joy and beauty of the world’s beaches.
