Sasha Grey Pin Up Style Painting

You might think Sasha Grey is not the typical pinup model. You’re right. She does not represent the mainstream pinup girl nor the mainstream porn star. Maybe, that is why I chose as a model for my collection of paintings pinup. She is a businesswoman, dj, writer (this year she wrote The Juliette Society) she is actress (she starred films such as The girlfriend experience directed by S. Sodrebergh, and the recent Open Windows with Elijah Wood) she is reader of Nietzsche and Brecht, and Godard fan (the protagonist of his book The Juliette Society is a film student, the book is full of quotes to films and film heroines) Their own artistic name shows their interests which far exceed the field of porn mainstream. Years ago, I read something about it a posting of one of my favorite blogs (in Spanish) "In May 2006 Grey moved to Los Angeles and began her career in adult films just after turning 18. Originally she toyed with the name Anna Karina (the name of the former wife of Jean-Luc Godard) before settling on its current stage name. She stated that the name “Sasha” was taken by Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM group, while “Grey” represents Oscar Wilde's novel The Picture of Dorian Gray and the Kinsey scale of sexuality.” When I wrote Why pinup girls? I said that they knew well how to represent the game of seduction, seduction as more unpredictable than desire, reversible, more flexible, more lateral, much less unclassifiable, as Sasha Grey.
