"Satsumas And A Pomegranate" Painting

Hi, my name is Art Tatin.

I am an artist living in New Jersey.

I received my BFA in Moscow, Russia. I also studied painting at New York FIT and NYU.

Some are born with silver spoons in their mouths, I was born with a brush. I did not choose painting, it chose me.

It possessed me since my first breath and it will never let me go until my last.

I can’t look at things without imagining how they’d look in a composition, where is light and where is shadow, what colors to mix.

Some images persist so intently that I am compelled to pour then onto a canvas.

I am just a medium channeling paintings.

As for my subject matter and technique, I must confess I have experimented a lot trying various genres and painting styles. It all lead me to a realization that the classic style is the only one that allows me to fully reflect my aesthetics and reveal my artistic skill potential.
