Sausage in Two (Blue) Painting

Born and raised in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, I have loved art from a very young age. Somewhat introverted, instead of socialising at school, I spent my lunch breaks sitting in the art room finishing my work. In 2001 I studied a Foundation Art & Design degree specialising in Graphic Design and Visual Communication but soon realised I preferred to work away from the computer, so I later completed an HND in Specialist Makeup for Film & TV. For my main profession, I work as a makeup artist, hair stylist and prosthetics artist in the film industry. I have worked on multi-million dollar blockbuster movies, television productions and photoshoots. Working with makeup, hair, wigs, special effects and prosthetics, my credits include Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Marvel Eternals and most recently, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. My work has been captured by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz and published in American Vogue and Vanity Fair. Perhaps due to my job, I love portraits but I mostly paint the fascinating and beautiful places I have visited on my travels, and things I love, such as my beloved sausage dog Lily. Ironically, I wear a lot of black but paint in bright colours a lot of the time.
