The artist has a particular deep love of wildlife, especially wolves, wild horses and mammals of the sea. She has been working for decades fighting to reduce animal suffering, slaughter and exploitation. She has an article that was published called "Why Do We Hate the Original Dog." It speaks of the unnecessary torture and slaughter of the most majestic, misunderstood animal on the planet, the Timber Wolf. She herself had a wolf hybrid who passed in 2018 at the age of 14. He was her soul mate. This painting was created to immortalize Kaya, he is the wolf in the foreground. The artist has recently decided she is ready to sell the painting to someone who appreciates wolves as much as she does.
