Warning: this artwork depicts a person smoking a cigar and drinking alcohol. Smoking may seriously damage your health! Too much booze may also lead to bad consequences.

This painting is a continuation of the “Weekend” series. Now we know that the building on “The Way Life Should Be” turned to be a restaurant… A nice way to finish the long day…

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Presenting "Scotch" by Alexander Levich, an evocative oil painting that transports us to a bygone era, where the pleasures of savoring a cup of coffee alongside a cigarette or indulging in a glass of aged scotch with a cigar were commonplace in bars and restaurants. The composition of this artwork intrigues the viewer, focusing on a wooden table adorned with a glass of scotch whisky, elegantly presented on rocks. Adjacent to it, an ashtray alludes to the presence of a good cigar, adding an air of sophistication to the scene. Though the man seated at the table remains partially concealed, his hand and torso beckon us to join him, leaving his face to the imagination. As we delve deeper into the painting, our gaze wanders to the backdrop of the bar shelves, adorned with an array of bottles and other bar essentials. Warm tones of brown dominate the palette, enveloping the viewer in an ambiance of cozy tranquility. To accentuate the bar-like atmosphere, a subtle touch of bright blue light graces the upper side of the artwork. Through his masterful use of warm, natural colors and meticulous attention to detail, Levich invites us to immerse ourselves in a journey of fond memories and heartfelt emotions. "Scotch" serves as a poignant reminder of an era when enjoying the combination of a fine drink and a cigar was a cherished experience. It evokes a sense of nostalgia, transporting us to a time when such indulgences were commonplace and added an extra layer of enjoyment to life's simple pleasures. Add this extraordinary artwork to your collection, where it will serve as a captivating focal point, capturing the essence of a bygone era. The artwork is ready to hang. The artwork will be shipped securely packed in a box. Certificate of Authenticity is included.

What is the most important thing in life? It's not the external surroundings but our inner world. Painting serves as the key that unlocks this realm. By following this path, one learns not just to look, but to truly SEE. Through my art, I delve into profound content. Painting becomes a medium of communication, a canvas for thoughts. The questions are always deeper than the answers, and the answers are discoveries we make within ourselves. My paintings serve as guides, leading you along the pathways of your own thoughts. I aim to offer you the joy of connecting with your inner world, the luxury of harmony and solitude in communication with yourself. I was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and in 1987, I graduated from the painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, under the guidance of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990, I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, my artistic journey can be divided into two main periods. The first period, which spanned over 20 years after my graduation, can be described as "Metarealism." The second period, which I refer to as my "return to realism," began around 2010, you may explore my artworks from both periods showcased here. If you would like to delve deeper into my portfolio, view additional paintings beyond those displayed on this website, or if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact me directly via email at .
