ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This painting is part of a wide series of works that take the markings from found, discarded Scratchcard as inspiration to produce minimal works that can induce thought and leave meaning open to the viewer's interpretation. The paintings are made using a mix of acrylic paint and paste, applied to raw jute that has been stuck to canvas. The painting is framed in an artist's made wood trim frame.

I am an artist from London currently living and working in Brazil. I use found objects, different types of paint and various surfaces to make abstract works, alongside songwriting, collecting and book making. In 2015 I was awarded the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship Award at Chelsea College of Art, graduating from the MA Fine Art course in 2016. A self-published book Thinking of You, Post cards:1948-2015 was included in the Tate Library & Archive collection in 2017. More recently I was in residence and had work included in a group show at Palazzo Monti in Brescia, Italy and a current series of Scratchcard paintings have been included in shows at Saatchi Gallery and Delphian Gallery (both London).
