ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I made these two paintings to be hung together, either above each other or next to each other. The paintings are the same size. Each one is 60cm long x 30cm high / 23.5 inch long x 11.75inch high. Jackson Pollock, the US artist worked in a very physical way. He laid his huge canvases on the ground and stood over them rapidly pouring loops and lines of paint. He often used just two or three colours and I wanted to do the same but on a smaller scale. I made Scribble 1 and 2 together at the same time with excitement - I hope others will feel that joy too.
