Sea Winds

Inspired by the wind, this work drags us into its three-dimensional world of successive contorted planes and transparency. Using extensive superimposed strokes, an optical illusion is reproduced that captures the ephemeral nature of the wind.

Porcelli uses a large canvas that allows her to reflect dynamic spaces, interlaced movement and translucent light. This work captures the shifting effects of the wind in the sea, yet abstracts it with a strong paintbrush that triumphs, comes and goes, slides, prolongs, and dematerialises the sea, the heat, the sky, the night, the ground, the water and anything in its path.

This work was influenced by the colors and themes prevalent in contemporary Latin American art.
