Nguyen Dinh Long Was born in 1970 in Gia Binh District, Bac Ninh province. Living in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam Graduated Vietnam University of Fine Arts. Member of Vietnam Fine Arts Association. Member of Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association. My work originates from images of lotus flowers, humans, and indigenous culture, symbols deeply associated with Vietnamese culture and memory. I work with lacquer and contemporary painting techniques, using layers, textures, and time to build a visual language quietly. Through this process, what is hidden gradually emerges, like memory awakening. I am not attracted to the strict logic of form, but to the simultaneity of emotions — where space and time dissolve into each other, and where the past and present breathe together on a single surface. In my paintings, form, line, and contrast are not only visual elements; they become the language of inner emotions. I observe life not through its direct appearance, but through the quiet resonance within. The lotus appears in my work not at its most perfect moment, but in its quieter states — after blooming, aging, or dissolving into abstraction. These moments contain a deeper sense of time, stillness, and truth. I gradually move towards simplicity, reducing form to preserve its spirit — the part that is felt, rather than just seen. For me, painting is a return to silence amid the noise of life — a silent space where emotions can be seen, shared, and deeply felt.
