ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Over the course of its six seasons, Sex and the City was nominated for over 50 Emmy Awards, and won seven: two for Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series (Jennifer McNamara), one for Costumes, one for Outstanding Comedy Series, one for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, one for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series (Sarah Jessica Parker), and one for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (Cynthia Nixon). The show has also been nominated for 24 Golden Globe Awards, and won eight. In 2007, it was listed as one of TIME magazine's "100 Best TV Shows of All-TIME".[3] Entertainment Weekly put it on its end-of-the-decade, "best-of" list, saying, "The clothes from SATC raise your cosmos! A toast to the wonderful wardrobe from Sex and the City, which taught us that no flower is too big, no skirt too short, and no shoe too expensive."[13] For its 65th anniversary, TV Guide picked "My Motherboard, My Self" as the eighth best episode of the 21st century.

I was born in St.Petersburg, Russia. I enjoyed looking at paintings since I remember myself, was visiting Hermitage, Russian Museum and all other places where I could see something painted in St. Petersburg. During my teenage years I photographed everything that I could, and printed photographs in the makeshift darkroom in the bathroom. I immigrated to Israel in 1979, and was astonished by the strong colors and blinding light of the sun. I could not afford a camera and making photographs the same way I was doing in Russia, but the urge to put everything what I saw on paper was irresistible. I started drawing, thanks to the fact that pencils and papers were cheap enough in Israel. Then I started painting, trying to paint whenever I could. I moved to New York in 1989. My first group show was in 1993; my first solo show was in 1996. At the present time I live in New York City.
