The problem of the works complies with a succession of steps and actions that could be defined as rituals. The menu of materials with which I work is practically the same – oils, acrylics, inks, spatulas, brushes, are arranged on the work table as if it were a camera ready, in focus, for future shots snapshots. I am ready to work once I have completed a period of introspection to connect with my mind and feelings. The images emerge with their own autonomy. Brushes and spatulas They blend in colors and shapes. These are surprising and in their encounter there is a recognition of that which comes into new existence. They respond to an action simultaneous, waiting for an unknown record just as happens with the eye before a photographic camera, which has a different scope than the human one. I act by moving pieces that have their own momentum. Notwithstanding what has been said, my work awaits the manifestation of an aesthetic order that reveal that disturbing sensation of capturing the fleeting, to which I resort daily in my workshop that is translated into the work.

I live and work in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I was born in Vicente López, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina in 1951. My first artworks focused on the three-dimensionality, with sculpture techniques of direct cement. Then, abstract landscapes appeared in oil painting, which were alternated with works in which a brush was used on canvas or wood. As an artist, I am interested in the continuous exploration of new techniques and materials: sand on oil, crackle, acrylic on canvas and paper, monocopy, dripping with inks and acrylics on paper, screen printing with deconstruction of materials. My current works present lines and designs of symbols that come from the study of ancestral writings, which are developed both in volume and on different two-dimensional supports.
