Shine Painting

Sherine Balbaa was born in Alexandria Egypt went on to attend one of the oldest British schools in Alexandria ‘EGC’ since nursery school at the age of 3 and till graduation from its secondary school. Then achieved a bachelor degree in accounting from Faculty of commerce, Alexandria University. During the past 27 years, I embarked on cultural trips across Europe, which always included two to three weeks in London whereupon I attended painting classes in Hampstead School Of Art and plein air painting in Kenwood house. I have also painted in the prestigious Attelier D’Alexandrie, where I have been honored to become a member later and till date. I have participated in exhibitions that mostly arranged by Attelier D’Alexandrie and currently organizing a solo exhibition there as well. My paintings started classical in applying pastels and oil painting and were mostly inspired from old and Islamic architectures. Then shifted to Modern Art then Abstract. To create a piece of abstract art, a strong imagination and good sense of creativity are required. In abstract art I am able to play with the colors making a painting lively and energetic and make another calm and peaceful by putting different colors, shapes, and textures together to create a finished piece. When painting this form of art, I start in different ways depending on what I feel and how my imagination work. It is very deep yet spontaneous. It became real passion to live the story with every piece.To sense the beauty of non-representational art creating stories within the painting. Stories that are created in the eyes and heart of the observer!
