Siamo Painting

I am Valeria D'Agostino, an Italian figurative artist whose work is distinguished by the depiction of women in the company of geese. Born in Enna, Sicily, and moved to Lombardy at a young age, I developed an innate passion for art early on. As a self-taught artist, I refined my technique by creating commissioned artworks and portraits for 15 years, and I am currently attending a hyperrealistic painting course with artist Attilio Cianni. The idea of painting women with geese came about by chance during a difficult period in my life. I was working on a painting inspired by a photo of a woman with a goose, and this painting made me feel protected and comforted. This experience was so significant that I decided to adopt a goose, which has become not only a muse but also a life and creative companion, leading me on a unique journey. My works have been exhibited in various spaces in Italy. Through my paintings, I invite the public to reflect on the connection between humans and nature, celebrating the beauty and harmony that emerge from this relationship. I currently live and work in Retorbido, Italy, where I continue to create and draw inspiration from the special bond with my goose and the natural environment around me. My art is a continuous exploration of our connection with the natural world.
