This picture was born to me at the time of my illness, because of a cold, during a chill and high temperature. There was such a mess in my head, confusion, a swarm of thoughts and conflicting emotions, feelings, sensations. My own weakness in the body at that time gave me some kind of breakthrough in freeing my hardened thoughts, and despite my external physical tension then due to my illness, I seemed to free myself from some kind of constant tension inside me in my normal state. what happened to me at the time of the illness — all sensations, thoughts, experiences — I deftly and quickly copied it into a single drawing, drawing it with a pencil on a piece of paper. It turned out such a grotesque portrait, and possibly a self-portrait. Perhaps ... But I immediately had a plot for this drawing, and the name itself came immediately:
Venetian morning ... A new day begins for the signore as usual - with a cup of freshly brewed Italian coffee and a fresh morning newspaper in a cafe opposite the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Salute. But ... this morning, in this very newspaper, some kind of stunning and unexpected news for him shook him to the depths of his soul and changes something, turns him over in himself ...

Everything in this world is fragile, foggy, changeable, despite the status of a society, age, place and time.

"I love the dreamy yet realistic aspect you bring out in your work. It’s like a modern day Van Gogh. Keep working at it! Your art is beautiful I would love to see it in a museum one day!" - perhaps it is with this quote that I will characterize my oeuvre as a whole, which a subscriber from Atlanta Georgia (USA) once wrote to me on Instagram, expressing a personal opinion about my art. I am a self-taught artist. I am 39 years old (born in 1981), Now I live, work in St. Petersburg (Russia). I took my very first steps in painting at the age of 9-10, when I lived in an orphanage. For the first time I took oil when I was 21 years old. I try to constantly connect the unconnected - two worlds for me, real, the one that surrounds me in everyday life and the world of my fantasies, dreams, desires. This requires a constant search in the expressive aspect. Perhaps that is why I deliberately do not dwell on a certain handwriting, genre, style, technique, which is very very often inherent in artists. If you may call it, then my painting is purely individual. * (My email: , as well as links to my social networks under the profile photo).
