Contact us.Diana Savostaite is a contemporary artist living and working in London. Her artworks are innovative and experimental, pushing the boundaries of the painting medium. Inspired by her immediate surroundings and personal connection to the natural world, her work intertwines moments from both the present and the past.
Diana's practice has evolved through extensive exploration and experimentation with materials, textures, and canvas forms. She creates large compositions using multiple irregularly shaped canvases, combine them with found objects, or handmade sculptural elements - allowing them to disrupt and interact with the surrounding space.
Her recent works incorporate unexpected materials such as rust, marble dust, silver leaf, clay, embroidery collages, and open-work wooden frames.
Diana began her formal education at the Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania, where she earned a BA in Fine Arts/Painting in 2007. She is currently pursuing MA in Fine Art at the City & Guilds of London Art School.
Over the years, she has exhibited extensively in both solo and group exhibitions and has received several prestigious awards. Her recent group exhibitions include the RA Summer Exhibition (2024), The Waverton Art Prize (2024), Jackson’s Art Prize (2024), Works on Paper at Blue Shop Gallery (2024), and The Scalpel Project by The Chaucer x Mall Galleries (2023-2024). In 2021, she participated in Radical Residency VI at Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop, culminating in an exhibition at the end of the residency.
Diana's artworks have found a place in private collections across Europe and the US, as well as in public and corporate collections, including The Chaucer Group at The Scalpel skyscraper in central London and the Blue Shop Gallery in London.
