This thought-provoking artwork is a testament to the power of simplicity and emotional expression. Set against a stark white background, it features a series of bold and flowing black and gray paint drips. The artist employs gravity as a collaborator, allowing the paint to cascade down the canvas, creating an intense, almost somber verticality. The deliberate placement of the drips suggests the contour of a human face – the black streaks might hint at cascading tears, while the gray contributes a secondary, ghostly layer that adds depth and complexity. This interplay between colors creates a shadowy effect, evoking a sense of melancholy and contemplation. What sets this piece apart is its raw, unfiltered emotion. It compels the viewer to reflect on the fluid nature of emotions and the intrinsic connection between the internal and external experiences of sorrow or pensiveness. There is a minimalist beauty in the restrained palette and composition, yet every drip carries a weight of profundity, making it both visually compelling and emotionally resonant. The artist's control over the medium, juxtaposed with the chaotic nature of the dripping paint, encapsulates a perfect balance between intention and chance. This artwork demands engagement and introspection, leaving its interpretation open-ended yet universally poignant.

I have come to a realization about myself and my art. I am impatient and I have need for instant gratification. I get frustrated with time consuming traditional techniques and want to skip ahead to the end. These are the reasons that I am a series artist. I like to experiment with an idea or a technique until I am satisfied with the result. The inspiration for my work is in trying the new techniques. Having freedom of expression and not being limited to one style or technique of making art are paramount to my identity as an artist. I love the many different processes of making art and experimenting with new ways of creating art. My inspiration stems from color, music, literature, and the excitement about the unknown possibilities of taking everyday objects and using them in a way that differs from what the manufacturer intended. I use a combination of found objects, acrylic paints, and aerosol paints to create abstract patterns on wood and canvas. Some of my methods include combining different chemicals and paint on paper or in plastic or wood box frames and using centrifugal force and gravity to distort vivid colors that are mixed or thrown right on the canvas. The result is the distortion of lines and contours, and layers of translucent or opaque paints on the canvas or in random patterns.
