I wanted to produce a series of seascapes and landscapes that are bursting with colour, and also provide a real sense of calm, which is why I am producing a series named Vibrant Calm. This series allows you to just curl up and dream - vibrant, stunning, intense and evocative. Emotion, transferred through creativity, into a visual form. This piece is oozing purples, magenta, pinks and violets. It is peaceful, yet full of energy - its width allows for the change in emotion across the canvas. Pure emotion on canvas. "Art washes away from the soul, the dust of everyday life." Picasso This painting is on quality Italian cotton canvas, and stretched with strong wooden bars. With painted sides and varnish it is ready to hang with no need for a frame. There is a signature on the front and on the reverse is the Title, a date and signature. All my works are accompanied with a unique Certificate of Authenticity. Packaged with commercial bubble wrap, their protection is reinforced with strong cardboard packaging to secure safe passage. Mel Graham studied at Nottingham University BA (Hons) and Cardiff University MSc (Econ), and has travelled widely at home and abroad. Her studio is located in Nottingham, UK, with viewings by appointment. She lives with her long suffering husband, two active teenagers, three fluffy guinea pigs, a mad hamster and some docile fish.
