Skin Deep Painting

Stretched, Unframed. Painted edges Signed on the reverse. Painted in high pigment artist oil paint on canvas. Skin deep is a more impasto surface than other works by this artist. There is still a layering and gazing technique but the surface has a painterly texture to it. Skin Deep is a portrait of sorts, the human organism and our connectedness to nature; both our own inner nature and that of our environment. It is a poem, an ode to our more conscious selves. This is a painting which sits within the overall context of this artists work as an exploration of the true nature of man. It's a rather dark and mysterious painting, there is a sense of unease but also humour in the piece. The painting is stretched but not framed and will be carefully wrapped and shipped in a box.
