Sleeping Minstrel Painting

I'm using powder pigments from original sources used since the Renaissance, using a medium to combine powder with water. This is the first of a series of abstract landscape inspired by American Indian and Mexican Oaxaca symbolism. Not fearing making mistakes, letting go and following higher intuition, impulses, spontaneously. in action painting, hence, sometimes turning the canvas upside down allowing the textures and washes to create the detail, while being in the creative flow, being the paintbrush for my higher self, allowing images appearing from the colors and lines underneath suggesting features, of forms and imagery as I "channel" what appears from the colors and shapes underneath. I love the unpredictability of the way higher intuition allows "bleed through" images from beyond the logical minds imposed concept of "reality" to appear.
