The work on this painting has began in 1981 and ended in 1998. Over the years Henry Khudyakov was adding to it, documenting every addition on verso with the date when it was added. Henry Khudyakov was a conceptual poet turned artist. His art is formed by the East Village art scene of the 1970th, where he lived at that time. This painting he started in 1985, adding details till 1995 when he declared it finished. All additions are documented by the artist on verso. Khudyakov's work is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NYC, The Center Georges Pompidou in Paris and Moscow Museum of Modern Art. His work was included in several museum exhibitions, most notably at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (solo 2019/catalogue raisonee), The Center Pompidou , Paris (group 2018), and Nassau County Museum of Art, Roselyn Harbor, NY (solo 1989)
