Smooth jazz Painting

My abstract artworks are the other form of communication, through the colorus. An universal language easy to comprehend, one which lends itself to various translations, too. I am inspired by Kandinsky's essays, whose theory of the immaterial aspects in painting influenced me strongly to this day. For me, colour is an instrument, not a means of expression. It is both form and content. Form follows process as I build successive layers of lines to abstract form a rich interplay of colour, shape and rhythm. I try to create a sense of space and movement, for a self-organising system. This work finds direction in the immaterial energy underlying our existence – light contains energy which animates particles to form bonds that shape matter and a system of life.
