ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I use line, form and colour to explore a narrative in order to convey a sense of freedom and energy through my paintings and aim to evoke emotions rather than portray a specific scene, leaving the piece open to personal interpretation. I am drawn to optimistic colours that impart a joyful vibe. Snakes & Ladders pairs perfectly with Swingin Suzie. It is also the perfect artwork for a long narrow, hard to fill space such as a hallway.

Having spent much of her life travelling and living around the world, Kirsty is driven by a sense of curiosity and adventure. This stimulation and a love of art, in particular abstraction, forms the basis of her work, conveying a sense of escapade and joyful escapism. Weaving memories with storylines and explosions of colour, Kirsty’s abstract art is like visual poetry. Instead of words and sentences, she intuitively creates a visual dance of the spirit.
