ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is the last painting that remains from a series of drawings and paintings of the Truckee river near Lake Tahoe that I worked on over the course of two years. I was especially attracted to the warm and cool colors in the snow. But painting outdoors in cold weather, even when the sun is shining, takes its toll, so this is the only winter scene I painted of the river.
