Snow on Comm. Ave., Boston Painting

This is a view of one of my favorite places in Boston Back Bay. It used to be in my private collection, that is why it has not been sod for such a long time. It is painted on very fine Russian canvas and mounted on Masonite. My deeply personal style incorporates unconventional composition, vivid texture, gestural painting marks, emphasized color and other features of 21st century painting, along with a solid Academic foundation and use of the Old Master’s techniques. The texture is extremely refined, with heavy impasto and many layers of transparent glazes. It is covered with UV-protective varnish. It comes in elegant frame. Hanging hardware is installed.
