I am a French landscape painter, drawing inspiration from the 19th-century masters. My work is rooted in plein air observation, capturing the poetry of simple subjects: a village path, a river's edge, a cloud drifting over mountains. Using oil in the alla prima technique (wet on wet), I paint swiftly to seize the fleeting atmosphere of sunlight, with lively, spontaneous brushstrokes that infuse my canvases with movement and vitality. From my first sketches at age fifteen, landscapes have been a contemplative escape, a parenthesis beyond everyday life. A graduate of the National School of Applied Arts and Crafts, I've explored other visual arts, but my passion for on-site painting has never wavered. About twenty years ago, I chose to settle in Auvergne, in the heart of France. From my studio overlooking the Loire gorges, I daily behold this volcanic grandeur. My brushes wander through it like an endless walk, refreshed by light, seasons, and weather changes. Travels, especially to the sea, provide fresh inspirations with its inexhaustible lights and colors. My art humbly pays tribute to the world's beauty, even in familiar settings. I strive to transcribe its subtle nuances and my constant wonder, inviting viewers to connect deeply with nature. Explore my collection and let one of my paintings bring this serene poetry into your home – for art is not just seen, it's felt. My work is currently held in private collections across the globe.
