About The Artwork

ORIGINAL PAINTING The work explore the hypocrisy of contemporary society. We live in a culturally polarized society, creating gaps among social classes and the birth of a new social class: the forgotten ones. They are millions. Metropolitan areas like LA are plagued by homeless, gun violence, gang violence, war, social injustice, racism, classism, mental health and substance addiction, generational poverty? They keep saying that those are simple side effects of a miraculous recipe called wild capitalism. Regardless the elevated wealth created among people, capitalism is based on money and money creates division, envy, toxic hedonism. Money is the object for classist clash, economy clash, culture clash. Los Angeles is a typical example of how society shouldn’t look like. Capitalism created various small form of economic apartheid, spreading over the whole country. Rich hate poor and poor hate rich. They both walk the same road, share the same public space, follow same desires. Both have the illusion for eternity and happiness, while reality is that we are all trying to stay afloat on dirty waters. ©2023

THE INFORMAL GRAFFITI PROJECT "Informal Graffiti is a tiny drawing on the blank surface of my artistic universe. My graffiti is informal because does not follow the media, the format, the scale or the intention of traditional graffiti art. Informal graffiti is an attempt to use intellectual and material fragments of the hyper consumption culture (credit cards , aluminum cans, old pieces of wood, dirty old paper, etc) in order to decontextualize the traditional relationship between the viewer and the message. I look at Arte Povera philosophy as cultural inspiration , because it is the only art movement that challenged the establishment in terms of art, politics, economy, culture. Arte Povera’s ideas boost my sense of engagement to the surrounding world, where art practice becomes the main way to rebel, to disagree, to criticize, to reimagine, to reinvent. I reject the idea of using art to create social media phenomenons, because I personally make some art to survive and not to entertain" Fabio Coruzzi exhibited at galleries, museums and art fairs around the world. He is represented by American and European galleries
